Guizhou promotes 100 billion level health pharmaceutical industry in Xiuwen

A promotional conference for Guizhou's 100 billion level health pharmaceutical industry was held in Xiuwen on July 5, aimed at nurturing a batch of enterprises and leading products and expanding the industrial chains of instruments and logistics.

Together they will turn Guizhou into a national key gathering area for the health pharmaceutical industry, which will provide an important guarantee for poverty alleviation and a moderately prosperous society.

Wang Shijie, vice-governor of Guizhou province, and Lyu Jinsong, deputy secretary-general of the provincial government, along with other relevant officials, attended the conference.

Guizhou's health pharmaceutical industry covers medical planting, medical manufacturing, medical service and medical integration. By the end of the first quarter of this year, the total output value of health medicine in the province had reached 19.7 billion yuan. According to the implementation plan of revitalizing the health medicine industry, Guizhou expects the industry to generate an output value of 100 billion yuan this year, 108 billion yuan in 2020 and 125 billion yuan in 2022.

Next, Guizhou will further support the development of the medicine manufacturing industry, the medical instrument and material industry, and the medicine and food industry, encouraging major pharmaceutical enterprises to construct medical material bases in impoverished areas and expand the pharmaceutical service industry and health integration industry.
