Ginkgo viewing event takes place in Huanglian village

The 2024 ginkgo viewing event kicked off on Nov 11 in Huanglian village. The village, in the Wudang district of Guiyang, is home to a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree with a diameter of two meters, requiring several people to encircle it. In autumn and winter, the leaves adorning its branches turn a brilliant gold.

At the event, villagers presented various self-produced performances for visitors, including Bouyei folk songs, skits, and hanfu fashion shows. These captivating performances drew many tourists to stop and take photos. Huanglian also hosted a long-table banquet and a bonfire party, allowing visitors to experience the charm of Wudang's late autumn atmosphere beneath the enchanting ginkgo trees.
