According to data from the district's culture and tourism bureau, Wudang district in Guiyang City experienced a vibrant tourism season during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, attracting 228,200 visitors and generating tourism revenue of 110 million yuan ($15.57 million).
The festival started with a captivating performance by the Southwest China Symphony Orchestra, setting the tone for a series of exciting cultural events. Many activities enriched the holiday experience, including a Mid-Autumn Festival dyeing craft workshop at the district's library, traditional riddle games at the cultural center, and family-friendly harvest festivals in ethnic villages like Pianpo and Xinbao. These events provided visitors with a hands-on experience of local culture and heritage.
In addition, outdoor reading sessions, live concerts, and vibrant cultural performances further captivated tourists. Popular hot spring resorts such as Lewan, Wanxiang, and Poly offered special discount packages and interactive experiences, attracting visitors and boosting tourism spending.
Wudang district enhanced the holiday atmosphere by effectively integrating local cultural and tourism resources, drawing in local and neighboring tourists. The variety of activities promoted local cultural heritage and significantly stimulated tourism consumption, contributing to the district's economic growth.
