Wudang district in Guiyang is promoting key varieties of grains and oils and conducting special inspections of the seed market in preparation for spring plowing.
This year, there are 17 recommended seed varieties, including seven for rice, five for grain corn, two for fresh corn, two for cole, and one for soybeans, which have been published on the official website of Wudang government and were determined by local conditions.
In addition, Wudang has carried out inspections of 52 seed operators across the district. The main focus of the inspections was to check whether the operators had lawfully processed relevant seed filing procedures and whether the filing certificates and related documents were displayed, ensuring the traceability of safe seed production.
At the same time, 3,186 copies of promotional materials such as the crop seed regulations were distributed to effectively safeguard the legitimate interests of farmers.
As of now, the 52 operators in the district have filed approximately 41,300 kilograms of corn seeds and approximately 16,200kg of rice seeds.
