In recent years, Wudang district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has focused on improving people's well-being by developing 15-minute living circles.

Jinjiangyuan Residential Area is the living quarters for the families of employees at China Aviation Liyuan Hydraulic Co. It was built in 2000 and currently accommodates more than 1,700 households. Due to its age, many facilities in the community have become outdated. In order to improve the living environment, at the beginning of 2022, Wudang initiated renovation work on Jinjiangyuan.
Luo Bi, deputy director of the Wudang urban renewal affairs center, said that Jinjiangyuan added underground pipeline networks to separate rainwater and sewage, demolished illegal constructions, increased green space by nearly 500 square meters, and added 105 parking spaces.
Additionally, a nearly 300-square-meter community service center has been built on vacant land.
A resident of Jinjiangyuan said that after the renovation work, surrounding medical, living, and transportation facilities have largely addressed the daily needs of the elderly residents living here.

Wudang has also been advancing the establishment of a "15-minute elderly care service circle." At the Xinguang Elderly Care Service Center, facilities such as rehabilitation training halls, multipurpose activity halls, and public activity areas are fully equipped. Various services, including daily long-term care, living assistance, spiritual and cultural activities, and rehabilitation care, have improved the lives of elderly residents at the center.
