Wudang issues '10 Practical Matters' to improve residents' well-being

During the just-concluded two sessions of Wudang district, the district issued this year's "10 Practical Matters" to heighten residents' well-being and happiness.

The matters include creating 6,000 urban jobs, building the Wudang No 10 Kindergarten, adding 1,200 new compulsory education enrollment slots, and completing the construction of the Wudang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yangchang Health Center First Aid Substation.

In terms of rural governance, efforts will be made to rectify toilets, renovate farmhouses, construct public welfare ecological cemeteries, and maintain rural roads. Moreover, Wudang will complete the agricultural and rural natural environment management public service project to strengthen rural meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation.

The district will complete emergency projects in five villages, which will be used to consolidate the safety of drinking water and fight against drought. The district also plans to complete the construction of Xintao Reservoir and its supporting pipe network.

As for urban renovation, the district will build Huoshipo No 2 Road, add 850 public parking spaces, complete the remediation of 5 kilometers of kerbs and the upgrading of manhole covers on Xintian Avenue.

In addition, Wudang plans to build, upgrade and renovate 10 lounges for sanitation workers, complete the construction of the farmers' market in Shuitian town, build three cultural station demonstration sites, and add 20 national fitness facilities.
