Wudang launches education high-quality development plan

Wudang district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently issued the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the High-quality Development of Education in Wudang."

It made it clear that seven projects will be implemented to promote the modernization of the district's education governance system and governance capacity.

According to the plan, by 2025, the number of school admission places in Wudang will increase significantly, the layout of schools there will be improved, and the enrollment problem will be solved.

In terms of education resource layout optimization, Wudang will re-compile the Layout Plan for Primary and Secondary Schools and Kindergartens and carry out a new round of adjustments to the layout plan for education locations.

It plans to add six kindergartens, including Tangquan Kindergarten, Bailuzhou Kindergarten, Yangchen Meilin Kindergarten, Xingfuli Second Kindergarten, Quantianxia Kindergarten, and Dongfeng Town Second Kindergarten.

The newly-added kindergartens will provide 1,350 admission slots in total.

Meanwhile, another three primary and middle schools in Wudang will be put into use in September 2022.

Moving forward, Wudang will further improve the conditions at rural boarding schools and narrow the gap in resource allocation and quality development among schools in urban and rural areas.
