Huaxi enterprises benefit from favorable business environment

Huaxi district in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been consistently prioritizing the optimization of its business environment. It serves enterprises wholeheartedly to bolster the high-quality development of the local economy.

The district has been carrying out several campaigns in recent years to support the development of the private economy. It has issued targeted policies on talent and sci-tech innovation and set up platforms to meet the demand for market entity financing, talent recruitment and business incubation. These measures have encouraged enterprises to expand their market presence and raise their industrial statuses.

This year, the district has put forward a proposal to focus on resolving the 10 practical issues of most concern to local enterprises, based on the actual situation of industries and socioeconomic development needs, and involving the business environment, financial services, taxes and fees and skills training.

On May 30, a financial product promotion event kicked off in Huaxi district, and the government worked with multiple units and banks to make it more convenient for enterprises to obtain loans. It aimed to solve financing problems for them, reduce their operational costs, and make them more aware of the importance of their tax payment and credits.

In addition, the taxation bureau of the district has promoted the use of a remote tax paying assistance platform, serving taxpayers face to face via video link and creating livestream rooms to share tax-related information with the public.

The district's business environment ranking in Guiyang rose from seventh place in 2021 to fifth in 2023.

District authorities have pledged to strictly implement the tax and fee reduction policy, further complete supporting infrastructure for enterprises in terms of water, power, transport, gas, communication and environmental protection, and enhance access to living facilities, such as talent apartments, hospitals, schools and supermarkets.
