A delegation of Australia's Jiangsu industry and commerce federation visited Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 10-12, to learn about the city's business environment, big data development and economy.
The delegation visited Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone on Dec 10, where the zone's economic development and trade bureau gave a briefing on its development planning and implementation of projects.
At Guizhou Big Data Exhibition Center, the delegation learned about the province's big data industry, applications of big data, development targets and achievements.
On Dec 12, the delegation visited Kaiyang port in Guiyang's Kaiyang county, which is considered a hub port of the Wujiang River waterway and also an important part of the transport system in mid-Guizhou.
It connects Guiyang with the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Belt and Road Initiative. Currently, the port has an annual handling capacity of 450,000 metric tons of goods and 500,000 passengers.
The delegation then visited a mushroom industry demonstration park in Baiyun district. The district has focused on the mushroom industry and built a demonstration park covering 27,000 square meters.
By cooperating with leading companies in the field, the park has cultivated various mushrooms, with two supply centers and 21 plantations.
The delegation was impressed by Guiyang's industrial development and looked forward to doing further business with the city in terms of cross-border e-commerce, sales of Guizhou's agricultural products, new infrastructure and tourism.
