Management of the Guiyang Economic and Technological Zone (GETDZ) -- located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- signed a slew of contracts with 10 companies worth 9.81 billion yuan ($1.4 billion) recently, GETDZ officials said.
They said the contracts were signed during the Conference for the Development of Guizhou under National Superior Private Enterprises -- held in Guiyang on July 28.
Among them, GETDZ officials approved a plant for precision parts and cutting tools, to be built in the zone by Tiangong International Co Ltd.
Overall, according to GETDZ officials, the zone will strive to continue to improve its business environment and ensure that the newly signed projects are completed and go into operation as soon as possible.
Local officials added that Guizhou's cities, counties, development zones and private enterprises agreed on a total of 616 projects worth a total of 315.951 billion yuan at the meeting, of which 30 were signed on-site.
