First 32 GETDZ companies get government financial support

Updated: 2020-02-25

The first batch of 32 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises located at the Guiyang Economic and Technological Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received a total of 7.15 million-yuan ($1.02 million) in financial support on Feb 24.

The funding was in line with the GETDZ's 10 measures rolled out to support rent, funding and innovation -- to reduce the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak on its resident businesses.

Local officials said that among the types of financial support granted were special funds for rent subsidies, development funds for the big data industry and subsidies for business services.

There are plans for the zone to further implement these ten measures to meet the needs of enterprises. For companies that have made great contributions during the epidemic prevention period, the zone will continue to allocate special support funds.

Officials said for businesses that qualify, the zone will simplify the application process and roll out the financial support measures as soon as possible, to further boost the development of enterprises and help tide them over current difficulties.
