Guiyang development zones promoted at promotion conference

A promotional conference for Guiyang development zones was successfully held at the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone -- the GETDZ -- in Guiyang, capital city of southwestern Guizhou province on Sept 10, according to local officials.

The Guiyang development zones comprise the GETDZ, the Guiyang National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone -- the HIDZ -- as well as the Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Development Zone and the Guiyang Free Trade Zone.

Tang Xinglun, the vice-mayor of Guiyang, said at the conference that Guiyang was focusing on the development and investment promotion of new industries.

These are advanced equipment manufacturing, middle and high-end consumer goods manufacturing, new energy, new materials, digital industry, health and medicine, modern services, cultural tourism and urban agriculture.

Tang said Guiyang had entered a new journey on the path to a comprehensive and all-round high-level opening up.

He said it would provide the best environment for all companies at home and abroad to develop in Guiyang with the greatest commitment, the best policies, the best service and the highest levels of efficiency.

At the conference, representatives from the four development zones gave investment presentations on key industries.

The presentations also were on investment directions and investment advantages. The goal is to attract 56 companies and chambers of commerce -- both inside and outside the province -- to have discussions and exchanges with the principals of each development zone, so as to enhance mutual understanding, promote cooperation and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
