Taiping Road, a historic street in Guiyang, stands as a testament to the city's rich heritage and dynamic transformation. The 272-meter stretch, once a silent witness to the glory of the city, now pulses with the energy of a modern metropolis.

As night descends, the street comes alive with dazzling lights and bustling crowds, while the nearby Guancheng River provides a shimmering backdrop to the newly redeveloped commercial district.

Taiping Road, a culinary haven, is renowned for its time-honored eateries, where each bite evokes a sense of nostalgia. The street has also emerged as a trendy hotspot, with picturesque corners perfect for Instagram-worthy snapshots.

It hosts a variety of contemporary consumer brands, from lifestyle labels to specialty coffee shops and diverse dining options, catering to every taste and preference.

Guiyang launched a renovation project for the road in 2023, transforming it into a harmonious blend of trend and tradition. The project focuses on reviving historical memories, with modern design techniques resurrecting long-lost landmarks, such as Yudai Bridge and Longjing Pavilion.

The road is currently home to nearly 200 unique shops and offers over 100 local and international delicacies. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing coffee during the day and unwind with a craft brew at night.
