To firmly uphold regional ecological security, the Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has put prevention and control first by establishing a multi-level responsibility system, improving publicity methods, and strictly controlling ignition sources in mountainous areas to maintain forest fire safety.
As an important ecological barrier for Guiyang city, Xiaobi township within the zone presents multiple challenges in forest fire prevention.
In response, the township has established a specialized task force led by the head and Party secretary of the township. The area has been divided into 17 village-level responsibility grids, forming a joint prevention system consisting of four levels.
The township adopted a dual-track approach combining online and offline methods to raise public awareness, producing a series of innovative short videos via its WeChat account to educate the public.
At key forest entrances, more than 3,000 bunches of flowers were distributed to replace incense and candles, promoting eco-friendly tomb-sweeping practices.
To better manage sources of ignition, the township built a three-dimensional fire prevention and control network. In addition to operating 11 city-registered checkpoints, temporary inspection stations have been set up in key areas.
A patrol team consisting of over 100 village officials, foresters, and volunteers register personnel entering the mountains and confiscate all ignition sources.
