Guiyang and Gui'an stage sci-tech cloud platforms promotion

The 2024 Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area's Sci-tech Cloud Platform Promotion and Sci-tech Transfer Matching Event took place on Oct 17 at the Guizhou Institute of Technology in Gui'an – located in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The event aimed to connect technology supply and demand between innovation entities, foster industry-university-research collaboration and enhance the city's efficiency in technology transfers.

It was hosted by the Guiyang bureau of science and technology and the Guizhou Institute of Technology, with the Guiyang Productivity Promotion Center as the organizer.

Nearly 100 researchers from the Guizhou Institute of Technology, representatives from 22 technology-demanding enterprises and representatives of district and county departments attended.

During the promotion, presenters provided a detailed explanation of the Sci-tech Cloud platform, focusing on its three main functions: Technology supply-demand matching, part-time roles for science and technology talent and the shared use of research equipment.

The platform is said to digitally record the supply and demand sides of innovation entities in a dynamic and precise manner. Through the service end, sci-tech managers facilitate matches. These accelerate the flow of innovation resources and address the challenges of inaccurate, incomplete, or ineffective research information exchanges – thereby boosting the innovation capacity of sci-tech entities.

At the event, researchers from the Guizhou Institute of Technology conducted project roadshows featuring technological achievements in advanced equipment, the digital economy, health and medicine and eco-friendly products.

Representatives from 22 companies engaged with researchers for technology matching and collaboration.
