The Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone launched the 2024 National Science Popularization Day at the Guizhou Science City on Sept 19, kicking off a series of activities centered on sci-tech innovation and achievements.
"Magical Heat Transfer", a captivating science experiment presented by the Guizhou Science Museum, took center stage at the Guizhou Science City International Conference Center.
Dressed in lab coats, instructors used professional equipment to vividly explain the principles of heat conduction, breaking down complex formulas and demonstrating real-life applications of thermodynamics. This interactive session ignited participants' enthusiasm for science and technology, unveiling the mysteries of heat transfer.
The event featured an exhibition aligned with the annual National Science Popularization Day, emphasizing key areas such as mining, rural vitalization, and ecological civilization. A total of 44 organizations, including educational institutions and local enterprises, showcased their contributions to scientific education.
Visitors were particularly drawn to GO2, a robotic dog used in emergency search and rescue, displayed by Guizhou Skyview Technology Co. The company's general manager, Wang Xun, highlighted the company's commitment to technological innovation since its inception in 2012.
