Guizhou Science City incubator fosters innovation

A reporter who recently visited the Guizhou Science City National-Level Technology Business Incubator, one of 10 model incubators in the Guiyang National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, reported that the incubator has engaged in fostering innovation for technology businesses.

Approved as a national-level incubator in May last year, it covers an area of 18,000 square meters and provides comprehensive facilities for technology-based startups.

Since the start of this year, the incubator has focused on attracting top talent and resources from leading universities to support early-stage tech enterprises. Through its "one-stop service", the incubator assists startups with business registration, banking, and tax services, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on innovation. Guizhou Wonderful Health Ltd has developed a rural-urban connection platform through the incubator's support.

The incubator has communicated with over 50 teams from key universities, with 21 already on board, including high-level projects from top institutions like the Beijing Institute of Technology. The incubator also introduced a "funding + equity" model, offering financial support that converts to equity upon successful commercialization. Currently, 92 tech enterprises are in residence.

The next step for the incubator is establishing a technology transformation fund to accelerate innovation.
