The Sichuan University State Key Laboratory of Hydraulics and Mountainous River Engineering recently opened its experimental research base in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The base is a collaborative effort between the laboratory and Guizhou East Century Technology Co. It will engage in mountain flood disaster mechanism research, forecasting model construction, and early warning system integration, providing strong technical support for protecting and managing mountainous rivers.
The laboratory has long researched mountainous rivers' evolution patterns, ecological protection strategies, and systematic management technologies, combining top scientific talent and advanced experimental equipment.
It is dedicated to revealing the complex evolutionary mechanisms of mountainous rivers under the dual impact of natural and human activities, exploring effective ecological protection and restoration measures, and developing a scientific river management technology system.
