A total of 12 companies from Wuhan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and other regions signed agreements to set up operations in the Guizhou Science City · Innovation Intelligent Valley in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 17.
The Guizhou Science City · Innovation Intelligent Valley plans to build a scientific research complex integrating research and development incubation with the commercialization of sci-tech achievements, as well as construct a multi-functional innovation space.
The companies moving into the area will focus on sectors such as intelligent manufacturing, software development, precision medicine, education consulting, and commodity trade.
One of the companies, Zhongnan (Guizhou) Guiyang and Gui'an Industrial Technology Research Institute Co, will collaborate with entities such as the Guiyang National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone to tackle sci-tech challenges and make new breakthroughs in new materials, advanced equipment manufacturing, and resources and the environment.
"We aim to establish a first-class Chinese platform for the commercialization of sci-tech achievements, an incubation platform for tech enterprises, and an industrialization base for sci-tech achievements, conducting research on cutting-edge technologies, key technical challenges, and the commercialization of sci-tech results," said Li Fuying, chairman of Zhongnan (Guizhou) Guiyang and Gui'an Industrial Technology Research Institute Co.
"We will build facilities such as an instrument and equipment sharing platform and a shared roadshow hall for entities operating in the Intelligent Valley, supporting national-level platforms in sharing innovation resources," said Wang Jingjing, deputy director of the zone's science and technology innovation bureau.
