At a press conference of the sci-tech innovation and achievement exchange in Guiyang on Nov 30, it was revealed that the Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is set to continuously develop critical high-tech industries.
Currently, the zone has established the Guizhou Big Data Graduate Education Base and has joined the research cooperation system of Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, gradually integrating into regional innovation systems such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.
The zone now focuses on nurturing and expanding the integrated circuit and high-end equipment manufacturing industries, actively planning for the three sectors of green new energy, cutting-edge new materials, and life and health.
Moving forward, the zone is expected to concentrate on creating a complete chain of services for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, incubating more outstanding enterprises to continually stimulate regional scientific and technical innovation vitality.
In addition, the zone aims to build a market transaction system that aligns with the actual development of the region in the Guizhou Science City and its surrounding radiating areas, making various technical services from research institutions – such as entrepreneurial incubation, scientific and technological finance, solving technical problem, product inspection, and testing – into easily tradable products.
