Guiyang and Guian promote university-enterprise cooperation

The big data session of the Guiyang City and Guian New Area University-Enterprise Cooperation and Exchange Series took place on Oct 12 at Guiyang Big Data Sci-Tech City – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Over 80 representatives participated – from universities, research institutions, innovation platforms, big data companies, securities firms and investment and financing organizations in Guiyang and nearby Guian New Area.

Focusing on the big data industry, the head of Guiyang Big Data Sci-Tech City delivered a policy presentation, in which he elaborated on the integrated development plan and basic information about the sector – covering such aspects as the supply chains for industry, innovation, talent, funding and policies.

Additionally, Guiyang Big Data Trading Co shared information about data circulation, trading processes, policies and future developments.

In the segment dedicated to technological achievements, there were also some fascinating exchanges. The National Engineering Research Center for Enhancing Government Governance through Big Data Applications introduced the Coal Engineering BIM (Building Information Modeling) Three-Dimensional Visualization for Full Lifecycle Management Platforms.

Guizhou Normal University presented a big data information system platform for intelligent parking, using technology from the internet of things.

On the same day, two collaborative projects for technology transfers and developments were signed.

Guizhou Normal University agreed to team up with the Guian New Area Peaking Power Distribution Co.

In addition, Guiyang University signed up with Guian New Area Industrial Development Holdings Group Co – aiming to jointly advance the development of a cognitive intelligence engineering applications innovation center.
