Guiyang bureau aids in safety of crops

On Sept 7, Jiang Fangju, director of the Guiyang bureau of science and technology, led a team to Machang and Gaofeng towns in Guian New Area to help ensure the safety of crops.

September is the harvest season for local rice. The team visited a field in Longbao village, Gaofeng town to eliminate pests and diseases in the crops.

In 2023, the Guiyang bureau of science and technology implemented the "Integration and Application of Eco-friendly Prevention and Control Technology of Rice Diseases and Pests" project in Longbaoba district, providing scientific and technological support for food security and high yields.

The project has been remarkably effective in eliminating pests.

Jiang also pointed out that the promotion of environmental conservation is an effective way to help farmers increase their incomes, and the bureau should accelerate the promotion and application of modern agricultural machinery to provide scientific and technological support for the safety of crops.
