Guiyang bureau solicits teams to research key projects

Guiyang bureau of science and technology in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently solicited research teams to engage in key science and technology projects for the benefit of society as a whole.

The solicitation period is from July 10 to Aug. 10, and qualified enterprises, universities, scientific research institutions, and innovation consortiums with enterprises as the main body can apply. Project details and the application process can be found on the bureau's official website.

In order to fully organize scientific and technological resources inside and outside the province to overcome the key technical problems that need to be solved, and stimulate talents, the bureau decided to hold this solicitation activity for the first time.

These projects focus on enterprise innovation and the development needs of key industries. Six scientific and technological research projects were put forward, involving electrical appliances in the aviation field, electronic information, pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, resource recycling, and other industries.

Once they have been selected, the bureau will support these projects to the tune of around 20 million yuan ($2.79 million) in total.

Support for one project focusing on the "harmless treatment, resource development and large-scale application demonstration of red mud" alone reached 10 million yuan.
