The final of the Guiyang College Students Sci-tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and Huawei Developers & Kunpeng Application Innovation Guizhou Regional Competition was held in Guiyang on May 31.
Since its launch in April this year, the competition has received 2,120 entries from 175 universities nationwide. The participating projects covered 12 industrial fields, including electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials, and ecological specialty food.
In a remarkable culmination, three outstanding projects, including the high-speed fully-integrated gallium nitride chips, received well-deserved recognition with gold medals. These cutting-edge innovations showcased remarkable advancements and breakthroughs in their respective fields. Additionally, eight projects, such as automatic fire extinguishing systems for new energy vehicle's power batteries, were honored with silver medals for their significant contributions and innovative solutions. Furthermore, the prestigious bronze medals were awarded to 12 projects, including the Guizhou Karst cave storage tank pepper, for their commendable achievements and valuable contributions to their respective industry.
Additionally, some of the participating high-quality projects signed contracts with investment and financing institutions at the scene.
"The winning projects will not only get a big bonus but will also be helped to implement," said Jiang Fangju, director of the Guiyang science and technology bureau.
The competition organizing committee also invited several excellent entrepreneurial mentors to share experience and guide entrepreneurship for the participating projects willing to settle down in Guiyang and the Guian New Area.
