Guizhou launches weeklong itinerary to promote love of social science

The first Guizhou Province Social Science Popularization Week was launched in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 15, with various prefecture-level cities and prefectures launching similar weeklong events at the same time.

At the launch ceremony, a WeChat app called Guizhou Social Sciences and a new book titled Confident and Self-Strengthening Guizhou People were launched.

This is the first such week held since the implementation of the Regulations on the Popularization of Social Sciences of Guizhou Province. It aims to boost people's passion for the social sciences, expand their coverage, and improve residents' overall literacy in the social sciences.

The events were held both onsite and offline.

A total of 16 lectures, 11 exhibition series, and more than 100 promotional activities were held offline.

Online events included VR live streaming, video lectures, and an online Q&A in the WeChat applet called Guizhou Social Sciences. A light show was also held in Guizhou Finance City.
