Sci-tech competitions in Guiyang open up registration

The Guiyang bureau of science and technology and Guian New Area bureau of economic and development will hold Guiyang College Students Sci-tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition this year, while the Huawei Developers & Kunpeng Application Innovation Guizhou Regional Competition will be held at the same time.

Registration for the two competitions has already begun. Project teams can register on the website of the Guiyang bureau of science and technology before May 10.

The Guiyang College Students Sci-tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition this year is open to projects from around the nation focusing mainly on 12 industrial fields – electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, phosphorus chemical industry, new materials, ecological specialty food, aluminum and aluminum processing, health medicine, big data software information service industry, modern logistics, agriculture, and tourism.

Teams that win a bronze medal or above and implement their project in Guiyang and Guian within three months after the final will receive a start-up support fund of 100,000 yuan ($14,530) from the competition organizer.

The organizer will also recommend the winning projects to Guiyang and Guian's maker spaces and incubators for free incubation and provide them with free business diagnosis services throughout the year.

The relevant service institutions in Guiyang will provide financial services according to the industry sector of the winning projects and the needs of the entrepreneurial teams.

Teams that participate in Huawei Developers & Kunpeng Application Innovation Guizhou Regional Competition and win awards will be supported according to the standards of the college student event.
