Guiyang tech contract turnover ranks 1st in Guizhou

Guiyang has accelerated the transformation of its scientific and technological achievements into real productivity. The turnover of Guiyang's technology contracts and their proportion to the city's GDP ranked first in the province in 2022.

A total of 4,489 technical contracts were registered throughout the year, accounting for 52.47 percent of the province's total, with a year-on-year increase of 49.73 percent. The turnover of technical contracts reached 14.52 billion yuan ($2.12 billion), which accounts for 37.16 percent of the province's total, while the turnover of technology contracts accounted for 2.95 percent of the city's GDP.

In order to cultivate a number of specialized technology transfer institutions and promote the sustainable development of the technology market, the city has identified five institutions, such as the Guizhou Normal University Technology Achievement Transfer and Transformation Center, as municipal technology transfer demonstration institutions in 2022. The city has also given 100,000 yuan in financial support to each institution.

Moreover, Guiyang and Guian New Area identified 13 pilot units for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements to further promote industry-university-research collaborative innovation.

Additionally, 67 scientific and technological achievements transformation and cultivation projects, such as the intelligent aerial survey and 3D modeling technology project for road and bridge construction, were approved and have an investment of more than 200 million yuan.
