In order to effectively ensure that the Guizhou Association for Science and Technology will carry out its work in accordance with the law, Southwest China's Guizhou province began revising the laws and regulations that were applicable to the association last year. They have also formed new regulations, which came into effect on Jan 1 this year.
It is understood that the previous regulations were made and implemented in 1996, and have been used for 26 years. These regulations have played an important role in promoting the association's work in the province, promoting the development of science and technology, and serving scientific and technological workers.
However, due to the early formulation of these regulations, there are now obvious differences and redundancies with the current relevant laws and policies.
The new regulations have been divided under different sections, including general provisions, organizational structure, service development, safeguard measures, legal responsibilities, and supplementary provisions. The new regulations fit into a total of 30 articles within six chapters, and amount to about 2,700 words.
The formal implementation of these new regulations will further promote the standardization and legalization of the association's scientific and technological work. They will guarantee that the activities of the association will be in accordance with the law, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of scientific and technological workers.
