Guiyang, Guian promote tech innovation

In 2022, the Guiyang bureau of science and technology implemented its innovation-driven development strategy, and all work has achieved gratifying results.

The total number of Guiyang and Guian New Area's high-tech enterprises has exceeded 1,300. The city has built six national key laboratories and 55 provincial-level laboratories, as well as five national engineering technology research centers, and 97 provincial-level centers.

The turnover of technology contracts in the city reached 14.52 billion yuan ($2.14 billion), up 11.87 percent year on year.

In 2022, the bureau utilized a new scientific and technological innovation system and deepened cooperation with the China Institute of Science and Technology Information.

The establishment of the Guizhou New Energy Materials Innovation Center in Guiyang marks the birth of the first Guizhou-based manufacturing innovation center in Guiyang.

The bureau also built the Guiyang and Guian Big Data Industry Technology Innovation Center, which focuses on breaking through key technologies such as blockchain data security, and data transaction and circulation. The center also contributes to the development of Guiyang and Guian's big data industry.

Additionally, the bureau has actively strived for the Guizhou Department of Science and Technology to grant post-provincial subsidies of 34.5 million yuan to 115 high-tech enterprises in 2020 and 24 million yuan to 80 high-tech enterprises in 2021.
