31 science & tech projects in Guiyang, Guian approved

A total of 56 local science and technology development fund projects were recently approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 31 of these projects will be developed in Guiyang and Guian New Area. The projects have gained a total of 46.98 million yuan ($6.73 million) in support funding.

The main goal for approving these projects is to guide universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises to increase investment in scientific and technological innovation and to improve innovation capabilities around the major tasks within the province.

As a result, a total of 132.26 million yuan will be invested in the research and development of these projects.

The projects planned by 20 enterprises, including the Guizhou Plant Protection Institute, and six universities, such as Guizhou University, were approved.

Of all the projects, the "Guizhou Science and Technology Innovation Base for the Postharvest Processing and Storage of Traditional Chinese Medicinal Materials," planned by Guiyang University, received the most project funding at 3 million yuan.
