Guizhou supports tech commissioners lead projects

At a press conference on Nov 28, the Science and Technology Department of Guizhou Province specified that projects that are part of the annual science and technology plan should be implemented by special commissioners.

In June, the department encouraged the Ministry of Science and Technology to help 20 counties in Guizhou implement two national key R&D projects, which are expected to boost rural vitalization.

More than 500 science and technology envoys participated in the two projects. The project is expected to receive more than 45 million yuan ($6.38 million) in supporting funds.

As part of the 2023 science and technology plan, the department has set up a special project to help 30 commissioners lead the implementation of scientific and technological achievement commercialization projects, with an average funding of 600,000 yuan per project.

"These projects will help scientific researchers by stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship vitality," said Shi Yonghong, deputy director of the department.
