The first phase of the 2022 Guiyang University Students' Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Online Sharing Conference was held in the form of a live broadcast on Oct 13.
The event was hosted by the Guiyang bureau of science and technology – based in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – with the theme of sharing entrepreneurial experiences, attracting the participation of nearly 800 people.
Lin Lantao, a management professor at Guizhou University, presided over the event. Dong Baojiang, founder of Guizhou Truck Rescue Network Technology Co and Tu Han, general manager of Xingshuo Mingyue Environmental Protection Technology Co, came to the telecast studio as special guests.
Dong Baojiang, a truck driver for many years, told the story of his truck breakdown in the wild and how he found big business opportunities in learning from the incident.
Tu Han introduced to the audience how he overcame difficulties and grew his business into a national high-tech enterprise with the help of university policies and platform advantages.
In addition, college entrepreneurs also communicated with the guests about practical problems faced in the entrepreneurial process – such as finding funding channels, talent team building and maintenance – on the online conference's interactive link.
Moving forwards, the bureau plans to organize and hold 11 related activities on a monthly basis.
