The sci-tech innovation department of the China Association for Science and Technology recently announced the first batch of 194 innovation bases of the Innovation China project. Three are located in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The three innovation bases are the Guiyang Guian Institute of Strategic Studies' innovation base, the governance big data innovation base, and the GoldenKeys high-tech functional coordination technological innovation base.
The innovation bases of Innovation China are platforms for the China Association for Science and Technology to promote the collaborative innovation of industry, university and research, as well as the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.
They will also receive resources from Innovation China, help the association with grassroots organizations, and cooperate with the association to establish service platforms for cross-border clustering and the allocation of innovation resources.
The innovation bases are divided into three categories: cooperation of industry, university and research; incubation of innovation and start-up businesses; and international innovation cooperation.
The Guiyang Guian Institute of Strategic Studies' innovation base and the governance big data innovation base are for the cooperation of industry, university and research. They will focus on key technologies, arrange for teams to tackle key problems, and explore the development of a sustainable cooperation mechanism.
Meanwhile, the GoldenKeys high-tech functional coordination technological innovation base is for international innovation cooperation.
According to the Guizhou national big data engineering research center, founder of the governance big data innovation base, it will encourage expert teams and research institutions to carry out common technology of big data application and tackle key problems in intelligent technologies in the future.
