To further strengthen cooperation and exchanges between Shenzhen and Guiyang in energy conservation and carbon reduction and promote the development of the "dual carbon" industry in the two cities, from July 21 to 22, officials of the Shenzhen development and reform commission visited Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – to carry out "dual carbon" research.
On July 21, the Shenzhen research team visited Guizhou Kailin Group Chemical Fertilizer Co, Guizhou Huaren Aluminum Co, and Guizhou Huajin Aluminum Co and listened to a report on the "double carbon" work being carried out by these enterprises. The research team also learned about work being carried out by the enterprises in carbon allowances, carbon trading, energy conservation and carbon reduction.
On July 22, the research team held discussions with relevant departments in Guiyang. At the symposium, Shenzhen's officials explained the background and needs of the research and expressed hope that the research would provide an in-depth understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of Guiyang's "dual carbon" work, explore the focus of the two cities in project cooperation, and promote the development of the "double carbon" industry in the two cities.
To this end, all participating departments of Guiyang made speeches on energy conservation, the low-carbon development of transportation, the big data industry, and forestry carbon sinks at the symposium.
