Technological innovation gives Guiyang enterprises larger foothold

"I have been seeking to innovate since I began working at the factory. Learning and carrying out scientific research are my most important duties," said Che Yun, looking back at his career.

Che Yun, chairman and general manager of Guizhou Huake Aluminum Material Engineering Technology Research Co in Guiyang and among the eighth group of provincial management experts in Guizhou province, received special government allowances from the State Council in 2020. Over the past 31 years, Che has been striving to advance technological innovation, commercialize scientific achievements, and expand the industry.

"When I was a technician in the workshop, I realized that technological innovation is key to an enterprise's success," Che said.

With the support of relevant departments in the city, the company has formed a "industry-university-research" team, established the Guizhou Provincial Aluminum Material Engineering Technology Research Center, and gradually developed into an innovative SME (small and medium-sized enterprise).

As the leader of the team, Che has developed new products such as aluminum alloy precision plates and HKG aviation special tooling plates, contributing to the green transformation of economy and the high-quality development of aluminum and its related industries.

Last year, the enterprise's sales reached 103 million yuan ($15.37 million), a year-on-year increase of 73 percent. At present, the enterprise has more than 200 invention patents, five international patents and nine new alloy grades.
