Capital city development aided by science, technology

Scientific and technological talent is key to achieving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement. In recognition of this, Guiyang recently launched a series of activities in Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Guiyang and Guian carried out a survey on the status of local scientific and technological workers, getting an overall idea of their situation and circumstances.

Leaders of the Guiyang and Guian governments visited and sent money and letters to 100 scientific and technological workers engaged in research and development, promotion, education and training related to science and technology, particularly the natural sciences, technological science, engineering technology and related disciplines.

"Guizhou regards the promotion of new industrialization as its primary high-quality development task and is confident it can develop into a fast-growing leading enterprise and contribute to the vitalization and development of Guizhou," said Li Tianwei, executive director of Guiyang Litian Cangtai Technology Co.

Moving forward, Guiyang and Guian will use various mechanisms and policies to promote the practical application of more scientific and technological achievements.
