Guizhou co-ordinates scientific, technological innovation

In order to promote scientific and technological innovation, Southwest China's Guizhou province will make efforts to implement the following in the coming five years:

1. Six major scientific and technological strategic actions will be implemented, including: strategic scientific and technological strength cultivation, support for a new round of mineral prospecting strategic breakthroughs, tackling mineral resource dressing and metallurgy, energy industry green and low-carbon transformation, modern mountain characteristic high-efficiency agriculture support, and empowering industry through digitization.

2. The innovative abilities of enterprises will be improved. Guizhou will implement a support plan for R&D activities of industrial enterprises above designated size, improve the "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" service system, and improve risk sharing and compensation mechanisms for technological financing.

3. The development of high-level universities and scientific research institutes will be accelerated, and service industry capabilities will be enhanced.

4. Strategic cooperation between the provincial government, colleges and enterprises will be strengthened and regional collaborative innovation will be promoted.

5. The province will deepen the reform of the scientific and technological system and stimulate the innovative vitality of scientific and technological talent. Relying on innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and other activities, it will explore talent and open up the development of technology, industry and finance.

6. A strong innovation ecosystem will be created and an innovation culture will be cultivated to increase innovative potential.
