The 13th Guizhou Provincial Party Congress has made a five-year plan to promote scientific and technological innovation in which it will provide guidance for Guiyang in boosting scientific and technological innovation.
To this end, the Guiyang bureau of science and technology has issued a series of policies to promote the transformation of scientific and technological talent and achievements, and clarified the work objectives and key tasks for the next five years.
The bureau will integrate production, education and research, commercialize scientific achievements, cultivate high-end enterprises, increase investment in research and development, gather scientific and technological talent and integrate innovation platforms.
A subsidy of 48.25 million yuan ($7.24 million) was provided to 375 high-tech enterprises in Guiyang. The construction of a service platform for the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, scientific and technological research and development, and technological innovation in the field of big data was actively promoted.
According to Jiang Fangju, director of the bureau, the bureau plans to commercialize 50 scientific and technological achievements this year, increase the number of high-tech enterprises to more than 1,400, and increase investment in research and development to more than 10 billion yuan.
In addition, more than three new R&D platforms, 10 technology business incubators, and six new R&D institutions will be built in the city.
