The Guiyang bureau of science and technology – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – went to the State Key Laboratory of Public Big Data to hold talks on March 21.
The bureau's deputy director and representatives of its departments, the vice-president of Guizhou University, the director of the laboratory and some of its experts attended the discussions.
The laboratory was approved by the State in September 2021. It is the first and only State key laboratory in the field of big data in China.
The laboratory is said to have solved the wage arrears of many migrant workers using big data technology – and it is ready to expand to the services industry, to ensure high-quality employment for farmers. It has also promoted the deep integration of big data technology with the real economy, in areas such as advanced equipment manufacturing and medicine.
In addition, the laboratory provides technology support and services for leading enterprises – including CASICloud-Tech Co, Tongjitang Pharmaceutical Co and the Tenth Research Institute at China Aerospace Science and Industry Co.
After discussions, it was decided that the bureau and the laboratory will work together in the construction of a big data industry technology innovation center, as well as in the training and introduction of scientific research talent.
