Guiyang enterprises and universities carry out scientific exchange

The Guiyang Science and Technology Bureau arranged a symposium on the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements at Guizhou University on Dec 16.

With a focus on the "integration of production, study, research and application", the event was designed to promote the development of high-tech industries in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, by solving problems related to the development and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, as well as talent shortages in the fields of electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy automobiles, healthcare and software services. 

Participants at the event were representatives from 41 enterprises, and 37 experts and professors from Guizhou University and the Guizhou Institute of Technology. During the event, five science and technological achievements were released and six items were exhibited at a roadshow.

During the communication portion, experts and enterprise representatives conducted face-to-face discussions on 57 science and technological achievements. Fifteen enterprises, including Guizhou Liangdu Co Ltd and Guizhou Dingzheng Environmental Protection Co Ltd, expressed their intention to cooperate with the university and the institute. Enterprise representatives said they would invite experts to their labs and bases for further cooperation.

The bureau said it would follow up on work relating to the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements to provide support for enterprises, colleges and universities in a timely manner.
