Xiuwen's first 5G-based application project begins operating

Recently, part of the 5G network-connected factory construction project of Guizhou Tyre Co – located in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – officially began operating.

It is the first 5G-based application scenario in Xiuwen.

The project revolves around 5G base stations, edge data centers, and automated workshop vehicle transformations.

A unified management system covering logistics, equipment, and the process of the entire production line of the factory will be built to improve production efficiency, ensure production safety, improve production quality, and save on production costs.

The project has also recently received 2 million yuan ($310,548.12) in support from Guizhou's big data development special fund, and it is also an outstanding 5G application scenario in Guizhou in the first half of 2021.
