After expert review, on-site research, special symposiums and publicity, the Guiyang bureau of science and technology has recognized Guiyang's first group of technology transfer institutes, and has offered seven newly-recognized municipal technology transfer demonstration institutes grants of 100,000 yuan ($15,000) each.
The bureau has issued two relevant documents this year to encourage Guiyang-based universities, research institutions and enterprises to build technology transfer institutes. The demonstration institutes are intended to propel more high-quality technologies to be transferred to Guiyang.
It has been calculated that the seven demonstration institutes have served more than 400 firms, and have propelled over 300 technology transfer programs that involved contracts worth 80 million yuan, thus promoting the sustainable and healthy development of Guiyang's technology market.
