Mining used to be a dirty job with dangerous and unpleasant working conditions. But along with Guizhou province in Southwest China achieving mechanized and intelligent mining, more and more miners are now able to work above ground.
Dahong Mining Co in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is the city's first mining firm to achieve mechanized and intelligent mining, boasting an annual output of 450,000 metric tons of coal.
Guizhou Bochuang Zhixin Tech Co, a local company devoted to the research and application of intelligent mining technology and equipment, has undertaken a transformation of the mining supporting system of Dahong Mining Co.
The intelligent mining supporting system consists of eight sub-systems, and has achieved remote control over mining activities, precise positioning of miners at the coal mine, and more, which to a large degree has increased the coal production rate and increased safety for miners, said Wang Boyu, general manager of Guizhou Bochuang Zhixin Tech Co.
