Nanning Bureau of Science and Technology holds research symposium in Guiyang

A delegation of officials from Nanning Bureau of Science and Technology undertook an inspection tour of scientific and technological innovations in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou Province, on Sept 3 and 4, 2020.

During a visit to Guizhou Science City on the afternoon of Sept 3, 2020, the delegation listened to an presentation introducing the site's overall planning, construction and operation, toured several high-tech enterprises, questioned business executives about their investment in scientific and technological research and the building of relevant platforms, and held in-depth discussions with them about scientific and technological innovation.

Officials from the two sides also held a meeting on the morning of Sept 4, 2020. They focused on policies related to science and technology, the cultivation of high-tech firms, the building of research institutes, research and development statistics, performance-based management of scientific research funds, and new ways to undertake scientific and innovative work.

At the end of the visit, officials from both sides agreed that they will further strengthen bilateral exchanges, share information, make full use of natural advantages, and deepen cooperation on the building of scientific and technological platforms and the development of special industries, with a view to realizing mutually-beneficial development and promoting scientific and technological innovation.
