Guiyang hosts tech seminar for "14th Five-year Plan"

On Aug 8, a technical seminar was held by Guiyang Science & Technology Bureau to discuss technical development priorities and general direction during the 14th Five-year Plan period. Fifteen academic and business representatives were engaged to advise on the city's technical planning in the upcoming period.

Having been briefed on the design of crucial tech industries to be prioritized during the 14th Five-year Plan, representatives found the overall planning by Guiyang feasible and sustainable. The plan will address the technical demands of businesses and industries, promote technological innovation in targeted areas, make critical breakthroughs in industrial upgrading and improve selected industries' technical competitiveness, among other targets.

Furthermore, the representatives advised the city to increase industrial investment on big data, AI and precise measuring to achieve higher technical transfer efficiency, human capital utilization, and high-quality economic growth driven by tech.  

Representatives included delegates from Guiyang Institute of Information Technology, Guizhou Provincial Chemical Society, Guizhou University, Guiyang University, Guizhou Phosphate (Group) Co., Ltd., Guizhou Huaren New Material Co., Ltd., China Zhenhua Electronics Group Co., Ltd., AECC Guizhou Liyang Aero Engine Co., Ltd., and CASIC Tenth Research Institute.
