Tourism loop revitalizes rural tourism in Huaxi

Since 2022, the Gaopo Tourism Loop in Huaxi district, Guiyang, has drawn the attention of motorcycle enthusiasts and travel lovers with its unique charm. 

The loop, marked by pink fences and road markings throughout, spans the district's three towns and townships: Qingyan town (Xinshao village and Siqian village), Qiantao township (Qilong village and Banpo village), and Gaopo township (Dahong village, Gaopo village, Bailong village, and Yunding village), connecting eight picturesque villages.

The nine large hairpin turns on the route, known as the "Jiudaoguai", are particularly eye-catching and make the mountainous road a favorite among motorcycle enthusiasts.

The loop offers stunning natural scenery: gorges, stone forests, multi-tiered waterfalls, sprawling farmland, and the Yunding Grassland. Its karst terrain and well-preserved ethnic culture further enhance its appeal, attracting numerous tourists.

Mu Mao, a traveler from Beijing, was captivated by the scenery during a chance visit to the loop. Inspired, he established the "Xiake Station" at the top of the Jiudaoguai, offering rest and dining services for motorcyclists, earning the spot a reputation as a "refueling station" for riders.

"I initially came here as a photographer, riding my motorcycle daily to capture dynamic shots of other riders. As the loop grew in popularity, many visitors struggled to find a suitable rest stop, so I decided to open Xiake Station here. We even have a viewing platform specifically for sunsets, which many say offers the most beautiful sunset views in Guiyang," Mu Mao shared.

Completing the Gaopo Tourism Loop has eased traffic pressure between Qingyan and Gaopo, and connected Qingyan, Qiantao, and Gaopo, integrating their tourism resources. It has revitalized the southern part of Huaxi and has become a stunning new landmark for Guiyang tourism.
