Huaxi seizes upon autumn sowing period

The agriculture and rural affairs bureau of Huaxi district has arranged for technical personnel to help farmers accelerate autumn sowing as the district has had good weather in recent days.

Operating under the principle of "not leaving arable land uncultivated and not wasting a moment of farming", the bureau has provided agricultural technology services and ensured agricultural input supplies to help farmers seize upon the farming season so that crops are sown in a timely and appropriate manner.

This autumn and winter, Huaxi plans to sow 16,000 mu (1,067 hectares) of rapeseed, increasing the target area by 1,000 mu compared to the previous year. The district has already raised seedlings for 6,500 mu of rapeseed, and by early next month, it plans to complete the sowing of 9,500 mu of rapeseed.

Huaxi is also intensifying its promotion of broad bean and potato cultivation, encouraging farmers to improve land utilization efficiency through various methods, ensuring that autumn planting tasks for 2023 are achieved.
