Digital transformation upgrades Huaxi's traditional firm

Located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, the Huaxi Water Plant of Guizhou Polar Bear Industrial Co has incorporated a modern and efficient system that provides workers with easy access to information about the production equipment. 

The system involves the use of QR codes that, when scanned, enable the workers to view key details such as the model of the machines, responsible person, maintenance schedule, and operating status. This innovative approach to equipment management has proven to be a valuable tool in enhancing productivity and streamlining operations at the plant.

"This is one of the results of the transformation and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing carried out by our water plant," said Tan Yongsong, deputy director of production of the plant.

The water plant has relied on big data to build equipment operation and maintenance housekeeper systems in the field of equipment applications. The intelligent housekeeper system has the functions of digital asset filing, intelligent inspection, spot inspection, maintenance management, online repair application, online maintenance response, and predictive diagnosis of equipment failure, which can significantly improve the timely rate of equipment maintenance, reduce the rate of equipment failure, and improve the comprehensive use efficiency of the equipment. 

As a benchmark enterprise in the drinking water industry in the province, Guizhou Polar Bear Industrial Co, with a history of more than 20 years, has increasingly felt the limitations and bottlenecks of traditional production methods with the development of technology. 

Liao Lijuan, the assistant to the general manager, has revealed that their enterprise has undergone numerous rounds of exploration to identify the most reliable path for development. 

Through their research, they have discovered that implementing data-driven product improvement and intelligent manufacturing transformation are the keys to success. These innovative strategies have proven effective in propelling the enterprise towards growth and prosperity.

The enterprise signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CASICloud-Tech Co based in the province on digital transformation.

"The digital transformation of the production and the equipment fields has been launched. In the future, we will realize digital production management through digital transformation, comprehensively improve production efficiency, reduce production costs, and improve resource utilization and product quality," Liao added.
