A fashion show themed around intangible cultural heritage was held in Huaxi Park in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 21.
Hosted by the Management Committee of the Huaxi Culture and Tourism Innovation Zone, the fashion show showcased Miao embroidered clothing in spring and summer, presenting the unique intangible cultural heritage item to the public with fashionable designs.
The clothing displayed at the fashion show was inspired by the Miao people's ancient folk songs, which have been passed down for thousands of years.
Miao embroidery is famous around the world and has appeared on international stages like London Fashion Week many times. It has also been collected by museums both at home and abroad.
