Qingyan Ancient Town lauded for culture, tourism integration

Qingyan Ancient Town in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recognized as a Guizhou demonstration project for cultural tourism integration and innovation in 2022. 

The news was announced at the province's culture and tourism investment promotion event in Shenzhen, a port city in South China's Guangdong province, on Dec 28, along with another 14 projects.

The projects explore Guizhou's rich cultural and tourism resources, highlighting Guizhou's unique cultural tourism and reflecting the positive results achieved by Guizhou in innovation and creativity, the integration of culture and tourism, and the high-quality development of tourism in recent years. 

In recent years, relying on its local history, intangible cultural heritage, and folk culture, Qingyan Ancient Town has promoted the integration of culture and tourism and cultural creative innovation, as well as improved night tourism and services in an effort to boost nighttime consumption.
